I took a beating yesterday and it felt good. No money involved but I played one pocket with a player about 3-4 levels above me. Don't ever get that to do that to often . There is no weight he could give me that would have given me a chance. If I made a mistake and gave him a shot , he wouldn't run 2,3,or even 4 balls , he was out. I could not take even the easiest shot lightly because he was ready to pounce. We played about ten racks, give or take. I would say he ran 8 on me 4? times. I won one rack. By gosh the only way I had a chance. I actually ran 8 on him! I'm just getting into one pocket so it was the first time. I think I ran out because I knew it was my only chance.
He never gave me another chance. But with the 1 hole players I play with (all one level above me ) although they beat me regularly, nearly always allow me at least 2 chances to get me in the game. It's true in all pool games but in 1 hole it seems more apparent that if you make an error you will not be forgiven.

Anyway I feel like a winner today because of that one run and because of the experience of playing with what I consider a heavy weight. So I figure I had to share this with all the other C players out there.:joyful:

There's nothing wrong with what you did. Learning this game and becoming a better
player requires a lot of beating and money. You did the right thing.

Sounds like you did pretty good given the difference of skill. Nice job. Remember what it felt like while you were running that rack out and try to reproduce it. You already know, it's a pretty good feeling :)
