Am I too hard on myself?

I doub't any pro is going to laugh at you for not beating the ghost in 10-ball...They may however ask you to gamble...:D

I would suggest you track your results and see "why" you don't beat the Ghost...You should quickly find your honest answer...

Do you get good spreads and fail to run out by missing a ball?
Do you get good spreads and fail to run out by missing shape?
Do you get not so good spreads and fail to run out because you were unable to pull off the break out shot that was needed.
Do you fail to run out because of a very bad spread after the break.
All of the above.

If it's (honestly) only because of the break...You are very close...You just need a better break.

If it is because of the others...you obvously need to work on those weaknesses...

Bottom Line....Honestly Identify why you are not winning...and you will determin why your not ready to "go pro".

That being said....Mine are "shape" & "minor traffic or cluster break outs".....AKA lack of CB controle.....and sometimes bad pattern selection...

BTW....In your testing..It does not have to be "frequent" to be called a problem....Like...Lets say getting out of line that causes a run stopper more than once is too many....

Also...Since you mention you are challenged finding skilled opponents in your area........Don't forget ......Against the ghost a miss or "run stop" bad shape only costs you one game...Against a pro...It may cost you as much as the whole set.....
