Amateur events in Jacksonville

Spoke with a guy who didn't stay for the Senior 9-ball. Couldn't afford the $100 a night hotel room bill and on top of that he had to pay $15 extra to park his car.

Makes me wonder why players even bother with tournaments.

Let alone if he would have won the tournament probably still would have came out loser overall. There are some good tournaments where small pool room owners actually add some money and take pride in having a good event. On the other hand you have tournaments like this where they just want to take the money from you and just don't care. Nobody says anything when it happens it will never end. It's our responsibility "The pool players" to step up and say something about it. If we don't who will? Just a thought.
