Amazing: 6 balls on the break by SVB!

Didn't alex make 6 in 9 ball, and left himself dead hooked?

He did make six balls and did not get out. IIRC, he had and made a shot on his first ball and left himself bad on the following ball. It could have been the 9-ball he left himself bad on but my memory isn't what it used to be,

Now that the universal adoption of the racking template largely guantees everyone will drop multiple balls on the break, we could change the US Open competition to a mere breaking contest. I can see it now...a line of tables with balls pre-racked, and the players will just move from one table to the next (alternating breaks), and the one who makes the most balls out of a specified # of breaks becomes the champion. Bound to boost the general puplic’s interest in billiards by eliminating all that tedious peripheral play!

Many thanks for the link. Watched some youtube matches last night...will NOT sign up to facebook to watch Turning stone. Wonder when Cuetec is going to be cranking out replicas of Shane's "prototype" cue?

I'm pretty curious about this shaft too; price point, construction and how it hits

That's so awesome you say that...

I had a similar concept in mind of streaming and playing multiple games and partners in between innings on multiple tables. Players would simply move to another table after their inning or to the table waiting for an incoming player. Players could play multiple matches with each other very quickly. Exciting for me would be the style of coverage to produce; camera direction, score reporting and pace of the tournament. It seems like could be difficult project too.

Even for practice, if you're a player with someone racking 4 or 5 tables ahead of you, I wonder if it would help fine-tune the break.

They say they’ll be available in December.
