Ambidextrous Pool Players

To keep my APA team together after our rankings went up and we were killed on the 23 rule, we figured the best way to keep the same friends together was for couple of us (at least) to go left-handed. We could appeal to the APA and somehow get our rankings reset. Anyone know if this is possible?
I don't think that will work. Although I understand what you want to do and would probably do it correctly, generally, shooting with your off hand in APA is considered sandbagging. This is because someone could shoot with their off hand for an entire session and be rated a low handicap (2 or 3) and then in the playoffs switch back and shoot their normal 7 handicap.

I know you are not suggesting that you would do this but the APA has to look out for those people that would, of which there are many...

Back in Shreveport, LA - when Buddy was on the top of his game - he could & did play 9-Ball at about the 8 under his right handed game. After beating some top players - I've seen him switch hands - and still win.

TY & GL

I would have agreed, Tom. Until I saw, Dan "I'm not from St. Louis" Louie, play left handed. Buddy didn't like it with either hand playing him, over a two week period in the mid 70s.
