I have some Ambrosia Maple and some Quilted Maple pieces available. These are all kiln dried to below 8%.

This is natural wood and the Ambrosia has some interesting worm holes as you can see with some nice silver / gray coloring.

The Ambrosia is SOLD

Ambrosia Maple:
Is maple that has been infested by the ambrosia beetle. The small beetle bores a network of tunnels and short galleries called cradles. A fungus is responsible for the blue, gray and brown streaks and decorative patch work that accompany each tunnel and adjacent wood. The streaks and patch work add a unique look to this hardwood without affecting its structural integrity. This wood is mostly found in the central part of Eastern United States.
The tunnels made from the beetles are extremely small. The infestation of the ambrosia beetle is terminated during the kiln drying process.

(If someone is interested in buying ALL these Ambrosia pieces.... send me a PM with your offer)

Thanks for all the info you give! They are all such beautiful pieces, especially the quilted maple!

There have been quite a few times where folks have mentioned they would like to "try" some different types of woods, and/or stabilized wood. I did add an extra piece into the boxes so you guys can do that. I added some black ash burl, curly maple, crotch walnut and some redwood burl. As far as who got what, I don't remember. I didn't take pics of everything, (this pic isnt good either) but here's one of the redwood burl.

It's a small piece @ 1.5 x 5, but this piece is stabilized. Might even see an "eye" or 2 in this block. :p
