Hey AMC4,

Do you ever get tired swinging from Corey's nuts?

Corey will bet this, i'll bet Corey can beat this person, Corey will play golf, etc. Take some of those 10's of thousands of dollars you always talk about betting and buy him a laptop with wireless capabilities and let him post what he is willing to do.

If I had the funds to be a stake horse and my barn was housing thoroughbreds, you can damn sure bet I'd be on here getting the word out. He's got a product to sell, and it's his money.....The people on here that refer to amc hanging from Corey's balls.... Can you honestly say if you had the funds, and was staking Corey that you wouldn't tell the world???

Corey does play golf but I don't usally put him in action at that sport. I will stake my cousin at golf if you want to play for a $1000 or more and I will get you a lesson from Corey if you come down to play and he's here. Corey and I will play along with you too and give you a little action, but nothing like you'll get from my cousin. If interested Corey won't be back for about a month so you will have to give me a couple of dates when you can make it down and then I'll check Corey's schedule and see what works. amc4

I've been to Port Clinton a couple times with Niels and Chicken George. We went to two pool rooms up there looking for action. We found a tournament at one of them which I believe Niels won. Later that night we found a little action at one of the Bars down there. It was a pretty big place with a bar up front then I think there was a couple bar box tables. Then you head to the back and there were a couple more tables that you had to walk up too and then in the back there was a big dance floor. Won some free drinks in their and about $140. Niels and I had fun on the dance floor. Chicken wouldn't go out with us. Let me know if you have any tounaments up there or anything else going on (girls that want to hook up with one of my horses) and I'll bring the boys by. amc4

You got it amc4 I am remodeling right now, we had a fire, but we are going to have a nice added tourny for the grand re opening. I'll let you now. C-Man

It was something like George needed weight from some guy and asked for the 7-ball for $5 a set. The guy told him he would give him the 5-ball for 10 a set. beat him the first set and George wouldn't play him again. Some where either before the set or after the set the guy called him chicken George and it stuck with him ever since. The game was played at Starcher's in Akron.

Hung out with George a lot back in the day. He is a good guy but he was scared to bet. Due to me working he took Niels on the road one of the first times he was over here. We told Geroge that about 20 people in the world could beat him and anyone that Niels didn't reconize should be easy money. They would find a game with a guy and the guy would want to play for $500 or $1000. Because George new the guy he would only let Niels play for $50 or $100. Niels doesn't ever let his game down so Niels would beat the guy like 9 - 2 and then George would get the confidence to bet the $500 or $1000. By that time the guy new he had no chance and would thank them for only betting the $50 or $100 the first time. I think they went on the road for over a month, Niels never lost and they made about $2,500 killing there action in about 5 states. Niels should of made about $50,000 + back in the day. The first weekend with me, Niles and I made $5,500 at Cornfed Reds in Columbus. amc4

Did you go with Neils, to a tournament at the Velvet Rail in Dover, OH, back in the early days? I remember in the mid to late nineties seeing him at one of their tournaments. Troy Frank was there, I can't remember if Chris Szuter was or not. I'm thinking, Max Eberle may have been at that one, but it's been a long time ago.

There are flyers for a LOT of local tournaments that specifically advertise "Chicken George and Chris Szuter will NOT be playing". Apparently, they have absolutely tortured these small weekly events. I've only seen Chris play like twice, but I'm more familiar with George, last I remember,he played close to Hennessee's speed. At the time, that made him about mid-pack at Starcher's,it seemed like there were 40 regulars that all played pretty close. Is Mikey Vero still around? Tommy D.

Hey Tracy,

I do believe I was up there. If I can remember we went to a place in Dover for a tournament and were looking for Max to gamble with. This was before I became frineds with Max and heard he might gamble Niels even. I don't think we ran into him on that trip. There is a good chance that Chris and Troy came with us.

I use to work 7 days a week. On the weekend I worked at a water treatment plant in Stow. After George came back with Niels and didn't make that much money I quit my weekend job to take Niels to the Viking Tour events or other tournaments on the weekends to play and find money games. If anyone hears players call me "Shitter" Niels gave me that nickname when he use to come to work with me at the shit plant. amc

How old are George and Chris? I left Akron in the mid 80s and I cant seem to remember those names as players when I was there. I spent most of my childhood at then Golden Billiards which then turned into Starchers.

Hey Tommy,

George did get kicked out of a lot of tournaments. I told him if you plan on making a living off of weekly tournaments you have to spend a little money at the place and take care of the tournament director if you win. He would never do this, he would just go in and get a water and snap the tournament off. If he spent a little money and was nicer to the people he probably wouldn't of got thrown out of as many tournaments or at least would of got to play in them longer. Even though I made fun of George for being scared to bet and stuff I had to respect him for actually making a living off weekly tournaments.

Except when Corey, Shawn or Troy are in town Chris would be the top player. I believe Kenny K. would be next in line. The last I saw Mikey Vero was at the Valley Forge tournament a few months ago. I don't see him much back home but the only place I go too is Chris's bar Fiddlestix's in Canton. I heard Mikey was into some major drugs and wasn't doing to good. I might talk to Doc's son Gabe on occasion but the closest I get to Doc's is when I visit Joe Kerr up the street. Next time your in town we are always at Fiddlestix's for their Friday bar box 8-ball tournament a 7:00 pm. After the tournament we always match up or play internet poker. amc4

Chris is 34 and I believe George is the same age. If you hung out at the Golden Billiards then you probably know my good friend Joe Kerr. The first I started going down there it was Starchers. amc4

I live in Cuyahoga Falls but most everything we do is in Canton. Pool at Fiddlestix's or golf at Brookside. I have one cousin that is 28 and another one that is 34 and one that is 19 that gamble at golf. The course you will probably be playing is Brookside C.C. in Canton or Firestone C.C. in Akron. If you come in August you will probably be playing Brookside due to the golf tournament. You might want to make it down when we are filming one of our live pool shows. We will probably even film a little of the golf to show a highlight clip on either Shawn's or Corey's show. If you have a partner you guys can work out a doubles game. amc

As a matter of fact I do remember Joe Kerr. If I remember correctly he was a big fella. He used to promote the Pro events back then (Akron Open). That is where all the big names would come to town. I really miss those days. I remember Earl was in his prime back then and he was unstoppable. He would show up at about 1-2am an give us kids quick lessons. He was always willing to let us rack and he would talk to us just like we were his family. People say a lot of bad things about Earl on this forum but this is what I think about when his name is mentioned. He is the reason I play pool today and he is also the reason I play as well as I do. He showed what hard work would do.
Is Joe Kerr still in the promotion bussiness? And if he is will he ever do another big event in that area? My family still lives there and I would love to travel home and see some good action.
