I think it will be quite the learning experience for him. I don't think he has many practice partners in the US who can put centuries on him.

Yes, and will likely be the first time he has seen professional Star, Rasson tables running that fast with WPBSA spec pocket templates.
The first season will be brutal.

But, if he has the talent and puts the effort in it can be done.
Look at the Neil Robertson story.
Same thing here in Australia, no pro conditions.
He went there, almost quit, had a second attempt down to his last few dollars and broke through.

Anyway, I am happy to see the US and Canada and South America playing more Snooker.
