American Rotation Series 7 Finals update

In an effort to make American Rotation Series 7 Finals as successful as possible for everyone involved we have decided to move it to the 2016 Derby City Classic. Many of our existing clubs are unable to finish their current schedule in time to host their playoffs and give advance time for their winner to attend the US Open finals which is now just 5 weeks away. The good news is that many of these clubs will now be able to qualify two players for Series 7 Finals where we expect to have 30-40 players qualified.

We have talked with both Greg and Chad at Diamond Billiards and they are thrilled that we are double the amount of players that we are bringing to the Derby this year. They have graciously offered us the use of their tables the day before the Derby actually starts. The dates of the 2016 Derby City Classic are January 22nd-30th, we will do our round robin stage on January 21st and our single elimination rounds on the 22nd.

We know this is good news for many and bad news for some who may have wanted to compete in VA this year. The combined reasons of rooms running late, scheduling our finals in VA (the Open runs Sunday-Friday with big tournaments on both weekends, prior and post) some rooms requesting to send their qualified player to Derby anyway and the chance to host our biggest and best finals yet were all contributing factors.

If your club was on schedule to finish by the end of Sept and your player or players were looking forward to competing in our finals in VA we apologize for this change of schedule. The good news is that you can now qualify two players for Series 7 Finals which could really help both players save additional money in travel expense and get the “Derby” experience.

The US Open is a fantastic event that has now moved to a new location in its 40th year. If you had planned on attending and competing we urge you to continue to do so. With the new venue, escrowed money and new break format we believe this may be one of the best Opens ever.

If you are a club or person that has wanted to start your 10 player American Rotation group, now is the time to take that step. Series 7 Finals at Derby City is going to be a great event and you have time to qualify two of your players if you simple take action now.

With 40 players coming to Series 7 we will be able to put almost $50,000 INTO our player’s pockets between travel money and prize money won on site. This has been our goal from the beginning, help aspiring players get to major events while reducing or eliminating their expenses all together.

The American Billiard Club
64 United Clubs with 10 dedicated players at each equals one positive step for our sport.

Hey Joe, Marcos here, I'm playing in series 7 if that helps. As you know, there are 17 players out of MBC, a good sign, perhaps this will help promote AMRO in this area a little more, specially now that JA is playing in it, I'm all for it.
As always, count with my help for whatever you might need, hopping we meet in person again and shoot a few, keep it rolling my friend.

Hi Marcos, I love how that 17 player format is working out at MBC, thanks for helping.
Too bad you didn't draw Johnny :(

Here's a video explanation of how to play American Rotation for anyone that hasn't played yet. I'm hoping to do another next week explaining how the 64 Club goal works for everyone.

I know Joe, but that doesn't stop me from scheduling a match with him even if it not official, we've met couple of times but never played. Will keep you posted.
