Talked to a gentleman about a Craig's list posting for a 10 ft table for sale. After having a long discussion about the table he described it as an AMF Grand Prix, he said it had the slate adjusters, two triangular shaped bases and the measurements came out 112"x56" playing surface.

My question is has anybody ever seen one of these tables? I own a 4 1/2x 9 AMF Grand Prix that was made in 1968, but I was not aware of them making a 5x10.

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I think I am going to go look at this table tonight and if it is in decent shape will probably buy it and store it until I can make room for it.

I already have two tables, but this may be hard to pass up...

Amf

Might be a snooker table.
They also made billiard tables

Don't 'think' they made 10' pool tables.

Not slate levelers - one in each corner of the floating frame only.

( how is Hawaii)?

Sorry about that, not levelers. I think I may just pick this think up on general principle. The asking price is $995. But he told me it had regular pockets and rails. I just need to take a look at this thing.

Btw Mark, he said it originally came from Alaska. Thought that was interesting...

Hawaii has been great, just picked up GCIII last month, just finished the subrail extension, new rail rubber, corner castings and cloth. I put some picture of the process up on the mechanic section under gold crown makeover. This will give me a great practice table to get back into stroke. I made the corners just a hair over 4 1/4" so now I get to work on my accuracy.

Hoping to see you soon at one of the many tourneys in the next year, as my plan is to get my stroke in order and make a go at it. If you get a chance say Hi to Bill stock and Rick for me if you still keep in contact with them. Hope all is well and have a happy new year.

10' amf

If it came from Alaska, it is not a 10' pool table.

I installed every one of the table at the original Q & 8 at 703 w. Northern light blading late 1967 (I think).

Place was open about 16 months.

32 table (30 were pool, I 3C, and 1 snooker).

Albatross Cues?

Albatross cues? Really? I have one of those! It is about time you are getting your stroke back, Jason.

I made an appointment with the owner to go take a look at this thing this afternoon. I will take some pictures and post them up. I will get to the bottom of this one way or the other.

I have yet to find anything on the net about Ten foot AMF tables, but I am still searching.

Thanks for the input, my suspicions are this is either a snooker table or someone may have converted it...we shall see...I really don't need to go look at this thing, as I will probably purchase it and not have a place to set it up at the moment. But it would look nice next to the 68 in my room for the future...

I guess the way to look at it would be I am one table closer to opening a pool hall.LOL

I will take some this afternoon when I go take a look at this thing...post them up when I get back to the house. Got a couple of hours to go....

I believe that I saw a 10 foot AMF sitting in the back room at Steinway billiards in Queens NY last week, near the rear exit door, not in use. it sure looked like a ten footer to me.

Ok. Things got mixed up and I gotta meet the owner of the table in the morning. I'll post picks after that, now I gotta think about this all night long....Arggg

AMF 10 ft

Whatever was found out about this table? A friend just bought a Grand Prix 9 ftr and we are going to disassemble move and install it this weekend. I've heard the aprons and metal corners can be tricky, and the leveler is on top by the base. Any info would be great thanks, Qfans Todd W
