Amish Made Custom Cue Case

I stopped by to check on my case and he hasn't done much work in the last couple weeks. I'm a little nervous about how the tubes are going to fit but he said that he has it figured out. On the plus side he said that he's going to work on it today, tomorrow, and Monday. He wants me to stop over to pick it up Monday afternoon. I'll post some pics when I get it.

Me too. I like the looks of a NICE wood case but they just don't offer enough room for 2-3 cues and accessories.

I picked up my case earlier this week and I'm a little disappointed. I think he rushed to get it done and cut a few corners along the way. Don't get me wrong, I plan on using the case but I could point out atleast 10 things that I would have had him do differently if I would have kept a closer eye on his work. I probably could have asked him to fix my dislikes but he was preparing to leave and wouldn't be back until after the new year so i accepted the case the way it was.

For what it is worth I have very very rarely seen a novice case maker do a great job on a cue case the first time.

If this is something you paid for don't hesitate to ask for corrections.

Case making isnt as easy as people think it is. Easy to make a 'box', not so easy to make a 'nice box'.

Overall, I applaud this persons effort. Im looking at the work, and I personally do not think this person is an experienced leather worker, so take that into account. There is a huge difference in making leather straps, belts, pouches etc, and making a 'pretty' cue case.
