An observation about the Borana/KOD threads...

I have noticed a somewhat lively debate concerning the publicity being generating by the ladies of KOD. Some say it's due to their ability/talent, others say its due to their looks.

I will say the following: Who effin' cares WHY the attention is being generated? The point is our sport is in dire need of any publicity and as they say in Hollywood, "Any publicity is good publicity". So how's about we all take a chill pill and relax. No matter why KOD is getting the attention, it's good for pool.

I don't like to see someone like Shanelle that can't even compete on a regional level being paid much needed sponsorship dollars when there are pro players (men & women) struggling without those sponsorship dollars.

Even though the ladies of the KOD team are not pro players, they have proven that they can play a little. They also play in regional events and aspire to be pro with a real possibility of that happening. Even though the ladies aren't at the pro level yet, at least some of the attention is being focused on ladies that can and do compete on a regional level. It is better than the spotlight being on Shanelle as far as I'm concerned.
