And Then There Were None

As most of you know I went non-smoking on my own at my room In March and things here are off about 35% but not from the smoking , its just as everyone has said the economy sucks. All the rooms around are a little slow even the ones that have BYOB.

I have advertised, put in a couple games etc to try and bring in business.

Cant even get a turnout for 9 ball tourneys.

It will get better if my landlord can wait it out with me too !

Were I an owner of any business that smoking had been banned in the first thing I would do is clean it top to bottom and then have the folks that recondition hotel rooms come in and make the place smell smoke free. You aren't going to have an easy time attracting nonsmokers to a place that smells like an old ashtray.

Hu

Tap, Tap, Tap. It amazes me how many of these business have not done that.

...Fact is of rooms that had smoking before the ban have lost 30% of their business....

Could you quote the source of this information. I would like to see the specifics of how this study was conducted.

Thanks.

The pool hall I play at is the only one in town that is non-smoking. It's so busy, I can't even get on the only nine footer in the room a lot of nights. Thankfully, they have 12 oversized 8 footers. This place took alot of biz from the smoking halls.
