Andy Gilbert Cue? HELP!

Ok, pics will be up in a couple of hours. I have what I think is an older Gilbert. Is has G imprinted in the buttcap. It is an 8 pointer with razor sharp points and ivory diamond inlays in the 4 larger points and 4 large ivory inlays in windows in the butt sleeve. Black leather wrap. It states that Mr. Gilbert uses a 3/8 10 joint pin. This cue has a 5/16 14 piloted joint.........
The Blue book tells me this is a Gilbert except for the joint pin.........I know the pics will help, but has anyone seen the earlier examples of the Gilberts?
Let me know. Thanks!

On the old G cues he used the 5/16 14 piloted joint and maybe others. I bought one from in 95 it has that joint in stainless steel. Lot's of us from around here bought them and all of them I've seen from then had that joint.
Here's my G cue.

Pics finally, crappy camera and crappy operator, sorry. It is a 6-point, not an eight point. Rusty thank you, your cue is beautiful.

Approximate value?

I just picked this cue up and I was only familiar with the "Gilbert" signed cues.
What are these G cues worth? 6 points three high three low, Three large ivory diamonds in longer points, ivory diamonds in windows in the butt sleeve. Leather wrap and only one shaft. I am not sure what the woods are.....

Not too shabby considering I bought it at a local pawn shop for 80 bucks out the door.......with a cheap case......HAPPY.
