After long and careful deliberation I have ordered my first custom, after looking at several cue builders I settled on Andy. What can you tell me about his cues and how they perform? I have only heard great things so far.

I had one of his cues a few years before I started building cues, and they play great. Solid hitting cues, nice balance and good feel. I had three shafts for mine, one when I bought it and two more about a year later from Andy. It is one of those cues I wish I hadn't sold for certain.

You Gilbert Cue

I have one of the first sticks Andy ever made. My father had it made for me Christmas of 1993, it is still as smooth as it was when I first got it and I know he has come along way since then. I personally have never heard anything bad about a Gilbert stick. I know you will not regret your decision to purchase one of Andy's sticks.

I have owned several of Andy's cues and they were all good players and extremely well built. The work that he and his wife do is incredible and together they have created some of the best masterpiece cues made in the past 5 years. His cues are often in the final running for show cue awards at the International Cue Collectors Show and the Super Billiards Expo.

One of the neat things I like about Andy is the fact that while he makes some of the fanciest cues in the world he had not forgotten that he built his business and reputation on his awesome playing cues that the common man can afford and he will still make those cues today rather than only masterpiece cues.

Congratulations on a great choice and please share pictures of your new cue in the Cue Gallery.

Take Care

I have had 3 of his cues and I currently play with the one in the pic below. I will always one of his cues. They play great and I really like the fact that I can pick up my friends Gilbert and play almost as good with it. They play and look great. I am sure that when you get it, you will love it.

You simply can't go wrong with one of their cues.......top shelf all the way as far as making cues go, but Andy and Vicki are even better people !!

Gilbert Appraisal

Hi I acquired an Andy Gilbert that I don't need and would like an opinion on its value. No need to take in to account its condition, just what you think it would cost new. 1 shaft, all white is ivory, '99 year made. 4 points with 4 veneers black and red.

Gilbert has been tutored and taught mainly by Tim Scruggs and Paul Mottey.
it really doesn't get any better.
