What a great cue maker and what a nice man. In a time when the lists get longer of folks getting ripped off I would like to put in a plug for Mr. Gilbert. My Gilbert cue had the moose horn butt ring broken. I sent it to Andy along with the two shafts, he had it for awhile locating some materials that were satisfactory. Since the wrap also had to be removed during refurbishing I had him put a lizard wrap on. He did a beautiful job at a modest price for a maker of his reputation. Cue looks brand new and plays way too good for a beater like me. I have two of his cues and would recomend him highly if you are in the market. Thanks again Mr. Gilbert.

totally agree. Andy is well known in my parts and well respected. He plays in the midwest 9 ball and he is a likeable fella.

oh, BTW. he makes a pretty flawless cue too.

I had one of Andy's cues for a while and it was a good player. Sold it for reasons I won't get into. Spoke with Andy on the phone about a related problem and he was great to talk to.

:yikes:I have seen Gilbert cues for so long I remember the "G" logo instead of name.

He is someone that has really improved and improved.

I will tell a funny story about him. I was in his shop once and I asked how he learned to do this or that, most he figured out himself but he said that if he didnt know how to do something he would call another cuemaker and they would just tell him!

I thought how many of those old pool players would show a young pup a shot if he asked? (Not many IMO).
