Second floor of the Student Union on the Michigan Campus was the only place to play when I was there years ago. Maybe that has chnged?

About 30 miles east is The Rack, owned by Steve Lomako who post on here. I am sure you can find it. It is in Livonia, Mi
I'd recommend checking out the student union. Say hi to Betsy, if she's working there.
Otherwise there are slim pickings in town. I recall that a few bars would have a bar table or two, but that was it. Somewhere west of Main there was a bar table tournament every week, but I have no idea if that's still going on.

The 8 Ball Saloon below the Blind Pig on First Street used to have two tournaments a week. An 8 ball tourney on Tuesday nights and a 9 ball tourney on Sunday both starting at 8 pm. I haven't lived in the area in 8 years though, so I'm not sure if Leonard or anybody else is still running tourneys there.

Jackson, Michigan has a bar that was called the Garage on East Michigan Avenue that had a 9 ball tourney on Friday nights. Jackson is 35 miles west of Ann Arbor.
The Billiard Cafe in Battle Creek (80 miles west) was known as a great pool hall. I think it is called the Brickyard Pub now
