Anniversary Snooker to Pool

New to the forum. I have a barn find 9' Brunswick Anniversary Snooker table and want to convert it to pool. My question is: is it as simple as changing out the rails and castings? Is everything else on the table uniform between the two? I'd love to find someone who would be interested in swapping out parts.

Mark in Atlanta said he could rebuild my rails for pool, but the cost was prohibitive. Thanks for any advice.

Mark is 100% right, there's nothing you can trade out to turn a snooker built table into a pocket table short of exchanging the entire set of rails for another set of pocket rails...castings and all.

I really don't think the cost is prohibitive.......people don't really understand how much work goes into converting rails from snooker to pool the right way....to get the rails to play great and not just have the ball bounce.

Sorry my prices are higher than most.......but I do a lot more work on the rails than most.

Hope you find pool rails somewhere....if I hear of a set somewhere...I'll let you know.

Good luck with the table

Hey Mark,

When I said that the cost was prohibitive, it wasn't a reflection on you or your work. I know that a lot goes into your work and that you are one of the best. I am just a casual player and I was totally referring to my budget. I'm trying to have a nice table, but not pro caliber and am working on a modest budget. Thanks for your advice.
