Anniversary with fluted wood wrap around legs

Do all Anniversary tables come with the stainless band around the base of the legs?

I have seen pictures of several that have a band of slotted/fluted wood wrapped where the metal band normally is located on the legs.

Is this a restoration alternative to replacing the metal leg band, or a factory option?

The very first models had no banding, then it was painted on, then the aluminum band was added to all of them. No factory wood bands.
 
Very 'groovy' (pun intended lol)

Brunswick was pretty much done with that type of ornamentation on their premier tables, so yeah, its not original. Seems to have been a part of someone's theme when they did the restore.

It doesn't look horrible, but that style is technically more 1910-20 than 1950.
