So what's the status of 10-ball now? Will there be another WPA-Sanctioned World 10-Ball Championships next year?

I apologize if this is answered in "World 10-Ball Silence" thread. It's 40 pages so it's a little overwhelming for me to crack it open at this point.

I'm just wondering, was 10-ball significantly set back by the hiccups there, or is there still enough momentum that I might hope for it to eventually "replace" 9-ball as the most popular rotation game eventually in my lifetime. :o

Next WPA 10-Ball Championship scheduled for October 5-11, 2009 in Cebu, Philippines. The alternative date for the event is November 21-29, 2009.

Does anyone have any reports on how the pros liked the rules? I have my own opinion on the rules they are using for 10-ball, but it would be nice to know if the rules have been well-received by the pros, or if they generally don't care for them, or if the feelings are mixed.

Was this not the first big event under the call shot 10-ball rules?

I am wondering, if pros do like those rules, why don't we see them using these rules in 10-ball gambling matchups?
