Ronnie O Sullivan just knocked in a 147 Maximum to beat Mark Williams. His 9th 147 in competition and his 3rd at the crucible.

I also can't ever recall any player making a 147 in the final frame of a match, anybody know if that is the case?

I remember hendry getting a 147 to win a tournament once, think it might have been the liverpool victoria tournament?? Just off the top of my head.

Greg

Just looked this up and it was the Liverpool Victoria Charity Challenge 1997

Hendry made a 147 to beat Ronnie in the final 9-8.

Shane,

I have it on tape somewhere, but did Hendry not beat O?Sullivan??, with a 147 in the deciding frame in a tournament? Perhaps it was just a century in the decider.

Also Shane thank you for the links to the worlds. I have not seen live snooker on this side of the pond since they broadcasted the BCE Canadian Masters back in the 80's. I do not have any audio with it, any suggestions?

You are very welcome.

You should have audio but no commentary. Thats the best I could find and the most reliable (without messing with proxy servers et al)

Yep, nice find. That Hendry had a lot of firsts :)

Shane,

Pertaining to your question, obviously Boozebag beat me to it as I was typing.

Also I have no complaints with the audio only, its great to see live snooker. I will be at a meeting for the next session, so I am setting up my DVD camera. I will have it zoomed so that I can only see the screen on my monitor. Last time I did this for something, it turned out pretty good. I am anxious to watch the match when I get back.. Hopefully I will not have any computer crashes.

Thanks Again,
Mike

For the 3 147's Ronnies knocked in at the Crucible he's earned nearly ?500,000

That was an awesome break, esp the black to break out the 2nd last red. We sometimes forget that the cueball travelled about 4ft off the bottom rail and upto the pink on the perfect line, all off an almost straight in black!

Not to mention the TV, Audience, and $300k on the line!

Like the above poster said, almost $1,000,000 for 3 maximum breaks, less than 20 minutes work lol

I missed it. Bugger. Unfortunately I can't tune in to the snooker until Emmerdale and Coronation Street are finished. I could put my foot down, but I need it.

Yes hendry had a 147 in a deciding frame agaisnt O sullivan to win the tournament, and ronnie had a 147 against Mark Selby in the decider in the uk as well. This was a great 147 - the first one I've ever seen live!
