The following story is on the front page of AZ.

It's a shame that Alex has to go this route. I hope he is vindicated in the end. I am afraid if he loses this case, he may be blackballed by some of the tours. The sad part is, this is one of their biggest and best, coming out with support of many more of their best, telling how bad the tour is working for the players.

If you think that is bad you should check out the thread titled "The roar heard 'round the world".

I know that Alex would not go to this extreme if it wasn't necessary - which tells me that Makabenta and Fajardo must've really wronged him. I am not in the Philippines and don't know the "whole story" but I know Alex to be true to what he believes in, and will fight whoever if he feels he's been wronged.

I am curious to the "other" suits that will be filed by other players in the future that Mr. Bugsy said would have even more serious accusations.

Seems as if Alex's case is just the beginning of a landslide of wrongs from Makabenta and Fajardo and whoever else. Hard to imagine that they did worse things than what was done to Alex - these guys must really be evil!!

Interesting, yet sad, that the players have to go to this extent to get some justice and resolve.

I don't think this is a black eye for pool, it's more like a case of someone standing up for themselves and fighting for what they believe in.

Hey I agree with you. I think on the contrary this could turn out to be a good thing.

I feel that in many occasions the people in the governing body for pool tends to forget that it is not all about pretty titles and authority but rather its about the game of pool and the people who loves it playing the game.

A black eye for pool ....... not.

On the contrary, Alex, by standing up for his rights in the face of what he feels are unfair business practices against him, is doing something that is good for pro pool players everywhere.

I will not pre-judge the case, but I will commend Alex for taking a firm stand and I wish him luck in his pursuit of an equitable result.

The last 3 posts obviously misread the intent of my post. As I stated, I hope Alex wins. The black eye is in the fact he had to go to this length to get what is right. This should not have to happen to a player like him, or any other. The governing body of this tour is putting pool in a bad light once again.
