Another mystery cue for the experts!

This unmarked cue has a professional quality coated linen wrap which I like (like a Meucci) and a blue smoke paint scheme like an Action or Players but neither of those cues come wrapped. Some similar Viking and Valhalla Plain Janes have the same ring work and can be ordered wrapped, but the finish looks different and I don't think they come coated. This cue is 21 oz with 13mm shaft that hits really solid. It does have a small overspray near the butt cap ring so it could just be a really good DIY. Other than the overspray it's very clean. Any ideas?

Thanks for your analysis and advice Chopdoc!

I did notice the grain, but it's parallel after the first 6" so probably why it roles and shoots well. How do you tell synthetic wrap under the coating and why would it make any playing difference? As I said, I actually prefer unwrapped or clear-coated like Meucci. But it has a lot of features beyond a typical cheap cue and I'm curious as to the maker if anyone knows.

That cue looks a lot like cue #12 in the pic below. I won that cue by making a spot shot at Big Johns's Billiards in Omaha, NE on a Halloween night sometime in the mid to late 90's. There were three of us on the table, we picked a number and spun a wheel and won the chance to win a cue if we make the spot shot. I went first, made it, buddy #1 went second, made it, buddy #2 went third and took two tries, we all won cues. Me and buddy #1 picked the heaviest cue so we could use them as break cues (funny, now that my current break cue is sub 16oz). We both still own them and I used mine as a break cue for at least 5 years. Not sure what buddy #2 did with the cue, will have to ask, just spoke with him via text the other day. The shaft is very much warped, as depicted in the video below. Note the flat tip, it was a break cue.

EDIT: As far as maker goes it's hard to tell. In that area of cues there are dozens (and I'm sure more) Chinese companies making cues for all kinds of companies. Just know it's probably Chinese made, mass production, but - if it plays well then none of that matters.

How can I tell? I'm a wizard. LOL!

Just experience really. I examine a lot of cues.

Playing difference? With a finish over it there would be no difference.

Those first six inches matter a lot. My wife said so.

The mystery of shaft wood. Excellent shaft wood turned by a master has warped. Cheap shaftwood turned in a sweaty Asian factory has stayed straight.
