Another Paypal email scam!

If someone has posted this than pardon the repeat. There is a new paypal email scam. The subject line will read paypal complaint recieved. Don't open it and do not log in. Your account could get hijacked.

You mean don't actually click on links in the email.

A general rule of thumb for avoiding email scams like this (they are called phishing schemes, actually), is to hover your mouse over any links in the email. The actual link will show up on the bottom of your browser. often, the link will look similar to a Paypal (or other site) link, but will have extra words in it.

Also, it's generally safer not to follow any links in any email you get. If you think there "might" be a problem with your account, pull up another Internet Explorer window, and go directly to the main page of the website in question.

I must say though. In most cases, if these general tips either are not known, or are not obvious to an internet user, they will eventually fall for one of these email phishing expeditions. As old Barnum (I think) used to say, "A sucker is born every minute".
