I owned a real estate office in Oak cliff, texas and started making a decent living.
One after another of the pool players that i had run with came over to join in.

It ended up with john Baaldauff,Ramon turner, and Luckie Louie Harper and Tommy blanton all
went to work.I was by far the worse player of the bunch,

Well John was a funny little fellow who really could play pool,he had the nerve of a cat burler but became easy prey to bullys that would pull a gun and rob him of his bankroll

A funny story occured one night, john took me to a bar where the word was that they were playing very high.john went in first so we would not be associated for one reason or another,

%minutes later I entered only to see noted tuff guy Ronnie G telling his companion"
"there is ole John Bauldauff watch me rob him"

Now Ronnie was a legendary tuff guy, mean ,big and half connected to the dixie Mafia,

well your truly saw only one way to pull off a save here so I approached Ronnie with a big smile and a hand offer
"Ronnie, just the guy I need,John amd i just got busted and need a small loan till tomorrow, you got a couple of 100?"

About this time John comes up front where we are and I tell him i can borrow some from ronnie to go out to the car and make a call(I had an old motorola mobile phone a real oddity in those days) Ronnie gives me 200 and we left quickly

Ever since we were kids in high school or college,we had been hustlin and life was full of crazy
days and nights

John later got in trouble and I heard he died, but after that i heard he was alive and well,
if any of you guys see him,ask him to call me
