Another Ronnie and Judd Final

Ronnie just sets the standard so high. Not with his long potting but his shot selection and accurate cue ball placement. His missed shots very rarely leave a "setter".
How can they put pressure on him at this point in his career. He's been there done that with almost any situation that can arise on the table.
Comments by Steve Hendry provides insight to what each is feeling at any given time. I loved it when she pointed out that only one other player has produced a Maximum against Ronnie. Uh Hendry, in the Final game of the championship. Good stuff.

Here's Judd's 147. Amazing to see it live! Ronnie remained unimpressed in his chair while the audience became unglued.

It was funny when commentator Phil Yates said, "One thing that Ronnie O'Sullivan and Alex Higgins have in common is they hate to be upstaged." Hahahaha!

Stats had to be after the 6-3 early session. So Ronnie only had 1 win to Trump's 3.

I suspected as much, but I had to say something because some people around here seem to think they change the orange 5 in pool for no reason at all.


In any case, in snooker nobody refers to the blue ball as “the 5”.

I’m well aware the blue is the “blue” as the balk colors are yellow, green, brown. I’m very well versed in 99% in proper snooker vernacular. I have watch snooker constantly for almost 2 decades and respect the deep traditions of snooker. As I do American pool.

And I’m very much looking forward to next season

I played more snooker in the 80’s than pool, on American snooker equipment as there was no proper snooker equipment anywhere near where I lived.

In 2009 I installed a 12’ Riley steel block tourney table in my house in Vegas. I had it shipped from the UK. It was wonderful.

I actually like snooker more than pool as a spectator and as a player when I was younger I liked snooker more. As I got older it became too difficult so now I prefer pool to play. To watch I prefer snooker.

I watched "Pot Black "which was a 1 frame half hour show in the 70s which turned snooker players in England into superstars. Snooker was put on TV by David Attenborough (yes the very same) to showcase the then new colour TV.

Curiously, before that, snooker was actually broadcast in black and white!

The World Championship drew 4.5 million viewers on free to air BBC Two. Then add the streaming and the worldwide cable broadcasts by Eurosport and you get an idea of how popular snooker is.

As, there was no technical reason...
But she followed up that statement by then saying, we won't change it back.

I've never seen someone committed so hard to missing the joke

I know Judd has beaten Ronnie, but in the end because Judd plays like Ronnie I think especially after beating him at the worlds, Ronnie has the edge. The most successful players against him will always be those like Mark Selby who mess up his game.

Anyway UK Champs is up soon, I’m looking forward to that!
