I’ll bow out of this thread and work on limiting my posts to cue identification, best tip to use or fan boy club comments. Which reminds me, what shoes did SVB have on in his last match, think they’ll make me a better player? 😀😀😀

IF you practice to CPG, you:

have a stable, unerring reference upon which to base your observations.

It doesn’t matter what aiming system you use to hit this random red dot. Then reset it and start over. Feedback a player needs!

Well this is the second post in this conversation that I actually understand. 👍 The first is so overwhelmed by the others that I can't remember it now. I definitely understand this one....Definitely understand.....

The issue with aiming systems, training balls, etc.. is that you need to know WHY you missed, not just where you mishit the object ball. Is your arm a bit too high and you accidentally masse the cueball? Are you lined up not on the correct line? Are you swaying your cue to the side during the stroke? Spinning the cueball accidentally and hitting the right spot but throwing the object ball off the pocket line? And not only do you need to know why you missed that single shot, you need to know why you missed all of them, because I guarantee that no player misses shots due to the same issue every time.

If the only reason you, or anyone, missed was because we were aiming at the wrong spot, this game would be easy. The hard part of the game is getting the cueball to that spot and being able to modify that on thousands of different shot angles and situations.

Yeah that’s why I left OB training aids alone. I think the pocket at a distance is a good enough indicator, since it is the actual goal anyway.

Tip position feedback on the CB is more useful, and actually quite fun if it is hands free.

My all time favorite foot apparel, was worn by Jew Paul. every time I saw him , he was wearing a pair of really cheap off white tennis shoes, that looked like they had an explosion in the toe area. I'm guessing he had bunions or some other foot ailment.

the pocket is the training aid that tells you exactly where you hit it right or wrong. only problem is you can make them and sell them to idiots.

black balled might figure a way but its beyond me.
