I thought I heard about another victory for you Sunday; but I haven't seen anything on AZB about this. Could you fill us in on the details??

Also, many thanks for sticking around for a game of straight pool on Friday. I really appreciate it, and had a great time. You can see the thread on the main forum about pool in St. Louis for a description of your reputation among the patrons of the Billiard's Bullpen. Most of the players there think you walk on water.

Well, you heard correct. Another victory. I guess the results haven't made it to the AZ frontpage yet. This tournament was a Jacoby Great Lakes Tour event. It was a qualifier for the Peoria WPBA tournament. It was held in Galesburg, IL at Billiards on Main. There were 22 players trying for the qualifying spot and me.

I started out pretty good, then the day started to get very long. I lost my second to last match of the night to Julia Gabriel. Then won my next. That set me to come back at noon on sunday. Let's just say I miscalculated the amount of time it takes to get from Bloomington, IL to Galesburg, IL. I showed up a little late and didn't really hit any balls and it showed. Within about 20 minutes I was down 6-1 against Julie Melman from Detroit. I got a little lucky and came back to win 7-6.

My next match was against Angela Mears from Ann Arbor, MI. I guess I was still warmed up from the last match and won 7-0.

The final match was a repeat from the week before except this time on a 9ft table. I played Julia Gabriel and won the final match 9-5. It was really not a well played match, but it got the job done.

Congrats to Julia who got the qualifier and will be playing in Peoria. And thanks to the owners of the pool room and the many spectators that came to watch.

Thanks Denny. Next stop is the WPBA tournament in Peoria. That would be a nice win. Are you guys going to make the trip for that one?

Sorry Sarah i wished that we could attend but I have classes on Thursday and I have to run the Tourneys at E & A on Friday & Saturday. We wish you all the best! Maybe Matt will take some pics for me, while he's there.
