What would it take to maybe get 3-5 pros to answer some long argued debates? Maybe we could take up a collection. No sure I have ever seen one actual pool related thread where everyone agreed. Let say we all pitched in something to have 3 pros answer questions. They each answer how they do things but they remain anonymous. I think just like we see in thread after thread even the pros do things differently. Pretty sure there are wrong ways to play pool. Just not sure there is an exact right way. In the end its about results. If your way isnt working try something new. If it is working stay with it. However your way isnt the only way to achieve the same result. So if there was interest we could get someone to collect the money, find the pros, list their answers anonymously. They dont have to meet anywhere. Just answer the list of questions and turn them in. Once they all have answered they get posted. How many book and videos are out there? Should just be one if there were only one way to play pool.
 
There are many professional teachers and instructors that post here on a regular basis. Off the top of my head, Scott Lee, Randy Gottlicher from SPF school, Fran Crimi is a BCA Master Instructor, and Dr. David Alciatore of Billiards University are regular posters.

If you're referring to professional pool players, many have stopped posting under their own names because of disrespectful trolls.

All you need to do is watch the TAR recorded podcasts on Youtube or listen to the commentary on just about any AccuStats tape to learn something. There is a LOT of info out there for just about any question you can think of from top pros and instructors.

Hey, jburkm.
You said it, there are so many ways to achieve the same result that you probably
won't get the same answer twice.

Truthfully, there is no secret to this game or any other game of skill for that matter.
It's all about solid fundamentals, a lot of practice, keeping things as simple as possible,
ensuring consistency and concentrating.

Everything else is a matter of style and personal preferences.
I don't think one has to be a pro to answer this question.
Nonetheless, keep your money; you should get enough information on here for free from many AZers.

Cull that information and use what works for YOU.

And here's the problem..
You get 3-5 pros on here and you'll get 6 or 7 different opinions....

and that's a fact jack...:eek::grin-square::grin:
