Antique Billiards Chairs

Those are very unique chairs, very cool. I found a place on line (can't remember the name) that gave me an appraisal for my billiards chairs. I believe I Googled antique billiards. Sent him an email and a pic, got back to me pretty quick.

The steambent arms are a nice touch, imo.
I'm not an expert but have some idea but I suggest considering my opinion as just that, one man's opinion.
I have seen somewhat similar chair sets in nicely restored condition languishing for sale for many many months at the close to $2k mark.
These chairs you are considering, me personally, I wouldn't want to pay more than $400-$500 tops for the pair. With the cracks in the seat (these can be strengthened and made to look better), I'd really like to be in the $300 range.
If you are really in love with the style and no better prospects are turning up, then it's always okay to stretch a little.
Again, all imo.

Normally, I believe a pair of matching antique chairs would be worth more than 2x what 1 chair would cost.
The fellow who appraised mine said 1 chair was worth $1700, but a pair would bring $5000. I thought that was a bit high but I don't claim to be an expert. Paid $225 for the pair.
