I'm going to Long Beach, CA to a Resort/Golf/Conference center (I forget the name right off hand, and paperwork is one my desk but I think it is Marriot) for four days in February and wanted to know if there were any AZ'ers out that way I could hook up with play some pool.

Just curious.

Looks like I might be going to Hollywood Billiards on the 11th. I'll keep your offers in mind.....and I'm always open to action. Thanks.

Hey Matt, I just found this thread.

About a week ago, Hollywood Billiards started to close on Mondays, and I think that the 11th of Feb. falls on a Monday.

If I'm not too busy I try to make it there after work on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Max Eberle is there quite often and so is Corey Harper, both nice guys.

Also, Hollywood Billiards doesn't open until 4pm. They're right off the Hollywood Fwy. [101] - exit east on Hollywood Blvd. and next to the blue and yellow Swedish Car Repair Shop building.

Hmm...might have to work out an alternate plan with TATE who so graciously offered to pick me up in Long Beach and haul me up there. Might have to do it Tues night instead. We shall see! Thanks for the heads up. I knew Max was up there. I actually took some lessons from him here in DC about 5 years ago. Nice guy and great player.

What dates are you actually going to be in Long Beach? The Swannee tournament is at Hollywood Billiards the 9th and 10th. It's an AWESOME tournament and definently worth checking out:) .

Whew - thanks for the info - rep to you Dark artist. I'll work out something else with Matt. I think we have to stick with Hollywood billiards - the other rooms are boring by comparison. I'll cut you in too if I clean him out.:)

"Clean me out"? Is this a set up. Oh no Mr. Tate. I saw your YOUTUBE videos of you beating the ghost. But, I'll try some with the 7 and the breaks, or 9-5 at One Pocket.

Maybe we can just go up Tues night instead?
