Any Cue makers making their own cue extension adapters?

Hey I'm wondering if any cue makers make their own adapters for the butt of the cue or do they out source them all. I,m looking for a bullet joint to a 5/8 18 thread for my cue and cant seem to find any.

Bullet pin will fit a regular uni-loc insert if you bore it out a little.

Most of the adapters that are going to work with a bullet pin are going to be metric. M16-1.5 is pretty common.
A competent cue maker can build an insert that would work. Depending on the cue, making it removable is a bit harder, and probably not cost effective, but can still be done.

Are your weight bolts 5/8x18 or just the end for the bumper?
Predators extension is close in size except it's metric.

Change the thread or use theirs as an example to make one.

My bumper is 5/8 18 as far as I can tell my weight bolts are 3/8, Id rather not modify my cue but would rather have a proper insert for my cue. All the ones I see are metric and I can't figure out why no one has made one with standard 5/8 18 threads and it can screw right into other cues

Anyone can make a phenolic piece with 5/8 18 threads. You can then install the bullet insert.

Did you check with Rick Roper on FB . He makes some nice extensions. I looked at buying one but he don't ship to Canada

If you have 3/8x16 weight bolt you can exchange with the Jacoby bumper thats made for extensions and use theirs. Put bumpers on four of my cues and use the same extension for each

A lot of cue makers are using a CF kind lately. I don't know who makes them, but it's basically a 3d printed adapter with a nut/metal threaded insert in the middle. There is also a bumper on them and most makers 3D print their logo into the adapter part. This screws into the end of the butt, which is threaded. If the customer doesn't want an extension they just put a regular rubber bumper in, if they want one they screw the adapter in and it's there full time. I've seen them in 6" and 8" but again, not sure if someone is making them for cue makers or they are making their own.

The CF is light (obviously) so it doesn't really mess with the balance point too much.
