I am a fan of woods with curls and curly koa is one of them.

My koa cue

I had Paul Drexler build me a cue from Koa.

This is his story and I will pass it along as it cracks me up!

Paul went to Hawaii and while there picked up some koa. He claimed that he couldnt get really really good wood as the best is kept local. I think Paul is a perfectionist, but in my heart I think he was looking for at least a partial reason to write off the trip to Hawaii as a business expense.

He was able to pick up some outstanding koa, and wanted to take it back with him, so Paul decided to make it "carry-on". He brings back some outstanding wood (about 70 lbs) of koa as carry on.

It was from this group that Paul build my cue. It is outstanding koa with curly maple points with azerite points. It is on Proficients Billiards website after a refinish there.

Yes please do ,i would love to see,and great story,70# of koa thats is a lot of wood,because Koa is very light wood ,Paul Drexler is a hot cue maker forsure...............greg
