Any Ewa Laurance fans out there?

Thought you guys might like this story ;)

I attended a WPBA event in Boston back in April of 1998 while I was a student at Northeastern University. Boston Billiards was my main "big table" pool hall and I was so psyched when I heard that the WPBA was going to be holding an event. So I went to the event and noticed they were selling raffle tickets for an Ewa Signature Series cue - the EWA-3. I decided to buy $20 worth of tickets and watched some amazing pool throughout the evening. Right as the Championship match was about to get started, they did the raffle and when they called my name I just about freaked out! So I went down there, collected my brand new cue and proceeded to watch The Striking Viking kick some ass and score an outstanding win. When the match was over she was even kind enough to autograph it for me.

From Brunswick:

"This is an EWA-3 model that Brunswick commissioned McDermott to manufacture. It's valued around $500-650. I don't see them too often. We probably made less than 200 of them."

I don't know how much it would be worth with an autograph, but it's a gorgeous looking cue and a fun back-story that I thought you guys might enjoy. Cheers!

It was back in the 80's and a friend of mine was playing in a tournament with Ewa on the next table. He was so distacted by her smokin good looks that he couldnt fully pay attention to his own match and dogged his brains out.

These kind of things are still happening today 20 plus years later and still looking as good as ever.

Nice cue to have in your collection as well.

Ewa cue

I own that exact cue. I play with it everyday. It well built and hits great.
I have added a predator 2 shaft to it and it plays even better now. I will
need to do a new leather wrap soon. I remember seeing one about 7 years ago that retailed for $450.
