any guesses on this cue??

I saw this one too and was wondering the same thing. I love the contrast in colors of Ebony & Tulipwood.

Blevins, Gilbert & BCM are as good a guess as any I suppose. Maybe a Kenny Murrell. There seems to be so many "Southwest" imitations out there anymore that it could be an import as well.

The cue sure looks good. The only trouble is that there are so many Southwest knockoffs that it is hard to know whether this cue is actually made by someone who knows what they are doing, or by some overseas company like KC cue.

The seller has certainly had alot of nice cues in the past....why would he let something really nice go for cheap? Why would he not know the history? Why is this cue in seemingly perfect condition?

It doesn't feel right to me for many reasons....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he states that it's a 3/8 x 11 pin, and it appears to be brass? I've never heard of Gilbert using a 3/8 x 11. Maybe available as an option?
Nice looking cue........................however, I've personally know of a guy in Taiwan that can make you anything you want, and his specialty is SW, DPK. Could get lucky....................could be nice lookin' junk.

Although it would be a good idea I have yet to see China cues with matching joint protectors:confused:
The key might be if the second shaft matches up as good as the original. China can't seem to get that right!

Follow the link. Those cues have matching JPs. I put a bid in on this cue but was trumped:eek: . I'm still thinking about picking one up one of these days. I'm not guaranteeing this cue is one of these, but I beleive it is.

The exchange rate on that cue would be around 196.00 if I did it right.

I think NT is 33 to 1 to US dollars. It lists the cue as NT$ 6,500

Other things I noticed ...

I became a little leary with the brass pin and flat faced joint.
The shafts are pretty heavy.
The other website, down some, listed the foreign one (look-a-like) at
$215.00 USD (Almost worth taking a risk)

The points on the cue though look very nice from what I could tell.
It is a pretty nice looking cue.

And did you notice it is coming out of Rockford, Ill., home office city
for Natural Cures (IPT).
 
This is what I HATE about "private auctions", there's no way to see if the bids look real.

Even with the names showing, it's hard to be sure about the other bidders being real, but with a private auction, it's impossible. One of the main reasons I stay away from them.

It's up to $330.00 dollars, either someone is going to pay too much or it's getting padded. :confused:

You know it does but they are ringing real faintly in the distance!! I saw the name and had a weird feeling but no one until you mentioned anything so I thought maybe I was wrong. What is it with this guy?
