Any ideas on running a small league with only one table?

I didn't care much for playing in a national franchise league and was hoping to get on a local in-house league but they're all filled for now. Was thinking I'd like to start a small simple league but all the places with multi tables and filled with other leagues. I have a few places I could do one but they only have one table. If anyone has done or seen this before what game and format did you use? Thanks as always!

With allot of players wanting to not go home late night on a work week.
Do this, appoint one day each weekday for competition, then take a normal score sheet and Halve it.
We play 1st team to 13 wins.
You could try first team to 7.
I think it could work. Simple.

I should of mentioned that's one of my biggest beefs is I get up super early for work and getting four hours of sleep sucks. Lol. Thanks!

Our town has a Monday night bar league. Most places have 1 table. Teams of 5, you play everyone 1 game of 9 ball. The only weird rule is the 9 must be called, but it sort of makes sense with sets only being 1 game. Overall it's pretty enjoyable and the bar owner makes bank. Some people take it really serious, but if people start buying you shots for a win your first 3 games are usually played better. A DD is pretty much a must.

I think it started at 6PM and you were usually done by 10 or 11.

IIRC you played at your home spot every other week. My liver thanks me that I no longer play bar league. :ROFLMAO: I always tried to limit myself to 2 red beers but Tuesday mornings usually ended up a bit rougher than I expected.

EDIT: We also had a Sunday league. Teams of 3 and races to 3. It started at noon and was usually over by 3. That was a lot nicer and I actually did only have 2 red beers.

Maybe an online, self scheduled round robin. I've done a bunch of these. People tend to lose interest after the first several weeks though.
Some places do ladders, that can work out pretty nicely. Have to use a website or text chain for these though.

I would try and see what interest there would be to have a King of the Hill night. It would be like being on a barbox with putting coins on the rail to play the winner. Use blank numbered chips to see who's up next. Play for small money/beer or whatever and at the end of the night you'll have a winner and not worry about people not showing up for league play.

This sounds like you’re trying to make a 10 lb. grocery bag carry 50 lbs. of aggravation, complaints and frustration.
It will initially seem worthwhile but as the calendar advances in time, it will gradually turn into an annoyance, IMO.
