Palace billiards in villa park. I play in an eight ball league there. Abruzzo and Mike Bandy are in that league.I really don't know about money action there, though.bigfoot said:Sarah, are there any other rooms besides Chris's, how about Abruzzos' place? Anything out in the western suburbs? BF
Wouldn't John Abruzzo and Mike Bandy be considered action players?dmgwalsh said:Palace billiards in villa park. I play in an eight ball league there. Abruzzo and Mike Bandy are in that league.I really don't know about money action there, though.

While I was in Chicagoland for the Midwest Open, I practiced at "The Green Room". I'm not sure, I think it was in North Aurora. It seemed like a nice place. Any comments? Which room does Tom Karabotsis own?
Incidently, some posts here at AZ mentioned that Cuetopia in Vegas is reopening May 1st. Please add that to Pool Sharks and The Cue Club as places to play. See you at the BCA's.
Where is g-cue located?sarahrousey said:Tom also owns a place that just opened up last week called g-CUE in chicago. It is one of the nicest rooms I have ever been to.

Coming off I-94 ,exit west on Randolph to Morgan and make a right.
You can't miss it.

Morgan is a few blocks west of Halsted. The restaurant part of the room is not open yet only the room and bar.
As for parking they have parking available on the northwest corner of Morgan and Lake. The small lot is marked with red and white GCUE signs.
I was there last night(Friday) about 9pm and had no problem finding parking on Randolph. But during the day when everything on Randolph is open my guess is parking will be a nightmare.
It's a very upscale room with matching prices. Beer is $4 a bottle and $2 for a small glass of soda. Table time after 7pm is 10.00 an hour for 1 person and 4.00 each additional person per hour.(3 people = 18.00 hr.)
Overall it's a nice place but not a cheap place to play.
There were 3 of us there about 2 hours , Had 2 beers each and the bill with the table was 60.00 not including tipping the waitress.
