any pool halls in TX with a 10ft POOL table?

Im really thinking about getting rid of my 9ft and putting in a 10 footer but id like to play on one first just to be sure im gonna like it (the 9footer was freaking expensive and i wanna be sure im doing the right thing). So anyone know a pool hall in Texas that has one???

Not a snooker table either. a 10 foot pool table.

At the world 14.1 championship tournament 1940 or 1941 they went from 5 X 10' tables which always had been used to 4.5 X 9' tables. At the tournament Willie Mosconi is said to have thrown his hands into the air and stated that now the game was ruined as any one could run 125 and out on such little baby tables. Now it's almost impossible to find one of the big ones. A friend here in Cincinnati has a 5 X 10' Gold Crown in storage but refuses to sell it.

A friend of mine runs a billiard supply business and he has about nine 9' tables set up that he lets people play on. Most of them are older tables that he bought at good deals when people moved up to something new or just quit playing. He's restored them and they play great. He came across a deal on a 10' Gold Crown and he set the table up in the corner of his room. You wouldn't think that 1' extra would make much difference, but believe me it looks like a football field compared to the 9 footers. I love playing on a 9' table, but that 10' table is too much for me. My eyes aren't as sharp as they were and a long shot on that table is a LONG shot.

Thanks for the info on the table. I shouldve known it would be in the only pool hall in dallas that I meant to visit and never did:shakehead: I guess I know where ill be heading right after the galveston tourney is over.

Thats why i wanna spend a week or two playing on one before I go through with it. I love my Brunswick metro and I wanna make sure its what I wanna do.
