Harold Worst -- probably the best crossover cueist of all time?
Why snooker, specifically? As much as the snooker snobs would have you believe otherwise, snooker and pool are very much related -- the strategy is the same, in that you have to pot (pocket) balls. (Yes, the equipment has marked differences, but again, the foundational strategy of the two games are the SAME.)
If you want to look for a stone-cold champion at the top of his game in two extremely disparate games -- pool and 3-cushion billiards -- you need look no further than Harold Worst:

In fact, had brain cancer not taken him from us at the age of 37 in 1966, it was estimated (and feared, by none other than current champions like Luther Lassiter) that Harold would've swept up everything in his path in all disciplines of pool, and defended his 3C championship at the same time. Such is the mettle when you tutor under the likes of Willie Hoppe.
