I originally posted this in the snooker forum, but I tend to get more info about pool rooms in the main forum.

I'm nearly done compiling a list of U.S. pool halls, rec centers, clubs, and other sites with snooker tables. There are several states for which I've found no snooker tables:

Hawaii
Rhode Island
Utah
Vermont
West Virginia

States for which tables have been reported (but not yet confirmed):
Maine (1 room)
Montana (2 rooms)
South Carolina (2 rooms)

If you know about a snooker table in one of these states, please post a reply or PM me and tell me what you know about the pool room. I can find addresses and phone numbers on Google Maps, but I need at least the name, city, and state. I'd also be interested to know how recently you saw the table or played on it.

There used to be a snooker table at Buffalo Billiards in Washington, D.C., but apparently the table has been gone for more than a year. Rhode Island Bistro & Billiards told me their 5 x 10 is gone. Utah State University may still have a table.

there's a 5x10 Brunswick at the Eagle's Club in Kalispell MT (it's in real good shape) and a 5x10 Brunswick at The Edge in Helena MT (she's a bit ruff)

The only snooker tables of which I was aware in MT are both removed. They were at MSU and in Montana Ale Works, both in Bozeman.

Thanks. Yeah, I called Montana Ale Works recently and found out the table was gone.

Excellent. Thanks very much. I've give them a call soon.

Thanks, I didn't have either of these. I'm glad Grady found a snooker table.

I haven't found a reference for "The Rock" in Lexington. There's a place called "Rags to Ritchies". Do you have a street address for The Rock?

There use to be one at a place called Wizards in Presque-Isle Maine when I went to college years ago up there. I know the place is still open but I don't know if it has changed names. Might check the billiards or night club directory for that area.

It's true, the Buffalo Billiards snooker table is gone, replaced with a handful of shuffleboard tables. So there are no snooker tables in DC (with the exception of private ones. Surely the British Embassy has a snooker table?)

The closest snooker table to DC is at Hi Cue Billiard in Arlington, VA.

I thought there were snooker tables in every state? That's weird.

If you ever visit Hollywood Billiards in Hollywood, Fl. They have the tightest 6 by 12 snooker table I've ever seen. It's not even fun to play on.

Technically speaking, DC isn't a state so you might be right that there's one in every state.

Hey, bigskyjake, I called The Edge this evening and I was told that the pool room would be closed for several months for renovations. Here's to hoping they'll fix up the snooker table, too.

I'll call them back in a few months to see if they've re-opened the room.

tuckers billiards in charleston,sc has a 5x10 brunswick, but he has pockets on it, probably not what your looking for

Thanks. If you had a chance to look at it up close, I was wondering if you could confirm whether it's a snooker table rather than an old, larger pool table.

1. The snooker table would have pockets with rounded corners.
2. The table would likely have a "D" marked on it in the area we'd normally think of as the kitchen.
3. You'd see extra spots on the table, esp. one spot right in the center, midway between the side pockets.
4. When the game's being played the balls include 15 solid reds and six other colored balls: yellow, green, brown, blue, pink (or orange), and black.
5. It should have napped cloth instead of something that looks like Simonis.

Sometimes folks play other games on a snooker table, and a table with rounded pockets may also have Simonis or some other fast cloth.
