here is something I have noticed in the past 18 months, this cue is a real good time to talk about it. So here it goes, I'm not hi-jacking this thread it may take it in a different direction with the cue in the OP.
I have noticed a HUGE improvment in the artistic creativity of some cuemakers, this is a perfect example. Andy has been one heck of a cue maker for a long time, and has built beatiful cues for a long time as well. However nothing he built(that I have seen) 4 years ago looks like this cue, I saw another cue at the Derby he built that I would have bought on the spot, It was my favorite of the lot. A AZ'er did buy it

.
My point is the cue makers seem to be pushing their creativity to uncharted waters and making the most out of thier tools. Which makes perfect sence as were all learning all the time. Look at the level Manzino took it to, and Black Boar etc.
Its a very exciting time in cue collecting as there are alot of great things happening. I see new cue makers building cues that artistically pass up anything built in the 80's and 90's.
The line between old school and new school looking cues is VERY clear these days. Its a great era in cues, not much exciting happened from 85-95-if you think back. I wasnt around but from 65-75 there was alot of improvments credited to Gus, Bushka and a few others. But I believe that from 2008-2018 we will see more happen in cues than all the other years combined.
