Here for another week, and I have been to Hawaiin Brian's, and it is as others have said. All but one table is in poor condition, and all are huge pockets.

Any Azer's know of any tight tables here in Honolulu, either public or private? Pool scene is pretty pathetic here for being Rodney Morris's old stomping grounds..

Hawaiian Brian's makes me cringe. So much potential as a pool hall, and all they're interested in is putting on live shows. Check out Velvet touch. they don't have tight pocket tables, but their premium tables are super fast. And I'd recommend staying away from Aiea cue.

As bad as most of the tables are at Hawaiian Brian's, they are the best I've found here on Oahu. Velvet Touch's tables have pockets that are just as big and the cloth on them is fast, but plays weird...lots of skids and the rails are too bouncy.

Aiea Cue is the worst of the bunch...tables suck and the clientele are a bit unsavory.

I agree with you about the focus at Brian's...it ISN'T on pool!!! They don't even clean the tables now. The two most recently covered premium tables were absolutely filthy yesterday when I played. They were so bad that one of the players went and borrowed their vacuum and him and I cleaned the tables we played on.
