Any value to these billiard business cards?

I acquired these cards while doing business with the individuals named on the cards. This was in 1989-1992.

Southwest Cues - Jerry W. Franklin (deceased)
OMEGA/dpk Cue Company, Inc. - Michael Bender
The "Wright" Cue Co. - John Wright (deceased)

Is there any monetary value to them?

There should be!!- but it is an individual thing

I have a Gina , Richard Black and others. What I like about John was all the pictures of cues he sent out. good luck mark

Nice to see others that collects cards, I have a Balabushka, Spain, Gus, Peterson, with a bunch of others. I was thinking I was the only one. Charlie D

regarding the cards, prolly minimal value today. They certainly could help the value of a product from said persons (Jerry's obviously the best). But in the future...

Hollywood, I too (as I'm sure many) loved John's mailings! I still have a pretty big foto-album somewhere with all those pics dated and priced. What's really neat is when you see a cue from those old pics resurface in todays market (and the incredible price increase).

Let me know what you want for the South West card.

I collect the cards. I'll take any from anyone willing to sell/give them.

Just let me know.

This thread was just a feeler to see what interest there was out there. There was more than I expected.

The Bender and Wright cards have some sentimental value to me because it was John Wright who first asked me if I wanted to buy an Omega cue via a phone call. I ordered 2 of them on the spot both 59" long. One with ebony points and one with cocobolo points. Both were 5 pointers with no veneers and piano key ring work. I sold the ebony to a close friend and the cocobolo one was my main player for 10+ years. I still have it but I don't play with it anymore. I was told that my cues were in the 2nd batch ever made by Omega.

I found out later that the connection between John and Omega is that John provided the financing to start up Omega cues but I don't know if he was the only one. And at the time I didn't know that Mike Bender would be the one to make my cues.

Thanks for the interest but I think I will keep the Omega and Wright cards with my Omega cue. I'm a little less attached to the Franklin card but I did have some history with Jerry.

It would be interesting to see what other stories are out there.

Thanks for the input and advice. I'll keep the John Wright and Mike Bender cards with my Omega.

The Franklin card will go to Josh with any offer. I don't have my Jerry Franklin Southwest cues any more. I had nine of them - six 2 laminate cues and three 3 laminate cues. I wish I had the foresight to hang on to them. :(

Omega had another partner, Ed Buodo (sp?). I believe he was more of a financier, whereas John was more of the connections guy. John was already playing pool all over the place, mostly as a fan as opposed to a threat, but he was already brokering cues left and right also. And, he already was close with many top cuemakers from the midwest, putting him in a natural position to sell the Omega product.

Whatever the case, it was interesting times back them for sure!!!

Looking for a few years now for a Balabushka card, if anyone has one, i pay a good price.

Interesting to know!

BTW...it was Ed Boado. I understand that is was Ed Boado and Mike Bender who first started Omega Cues in 1989 and I originally believed with some financial backing from john Wright. I wasn't really sure what Ed's part in the company was...cue maker, financial backer, manager or ???
