I was just doing a search on Amazon and it came up. I'd never heard of it. Just wondering if anybody had seen it and what they thought of it?

Me too. I put my name on the "order" list. I can't believe it's been out for a year and no one has even talked about it.

When/if I ever find a copy I'll let you know.

It's the final weekend of an underground nine-ball tournament, with the winner taking home $500,000 cash. The losers take home nothing but a handshake and a pat on the back. Eight players remain, including a washed-up minor leaguer, a Sun-Tzu quoting mystery man, and a riot-girl alcoholic single mom.

That sounds real believable. $500,000 prize and you end up with those people in the final 8?

Yeah the Matrix is believable, oh and Star Wars too, and let's not forget Die Hard. It's a movie, believability is a non issue to me. I just want to be enterained.

Ok, just in case anyone clicks on the Amazon link. DO NOT CLICK ON the title: The pool shooting with Tom Bianchi, under the heading 'What similar items do customers ultimately buy after viewing this item?'. It has nothing to do with 'Pool', or at least nothing to do with pool as it applies to this Forum. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

The difference is that 2 of the 3 movies you list are fantasy/sci fi are not trying in the slightest to be realistic, I am surprised you did not include the Lion King to that list.

At least Die Hard used a New York Cop as the main hero. If it had instead made John into a Pizza Hut delivery kid played by Carrot Top who goes on to defeat the terrorists and still make his next delievery in under 30 minutes then it would be a good comparison to this tripe.

I'm with jhendri. I'm there to be entertained, if it is the absolute most ridiculous premise for a pool movie, there is still pool there.

Anyone wanna make a trade? I got Chalk the movie, ill rip it to DVD for you, someone with this movie, rip it for me. Either this movie or stickmen, i still havent seen that one.

alright now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,everyone look around the pool hall,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,those characters dont seam so odd now do they ?

If you don't want to see it, don't buy it. It's a pool movie, that's all I cared about. I'm not about to get into an argument about a movie. It's not worth my time.

I own Baltimore Bullet, one of the most ridiculous pool movies of all time. I still watch it though. I still love pool movies. Different strokes for different folks. Not worth an argument.

Now look around the WPT final 8, or the Tokyo final 8. The movie is about the final 8 people in a tourney with a $500,000 first prize and you think that a riot girl alchoholic single mom is not in the least unusual?

Looks like some college kids made a low-budget movie, even the word " riot-grrrl " is miss-spelled on the back of the case. Thats probably why no ones heard of it, not enough money for advertisement. It's been made in 2002 too.
