Hello, Just trying to aquire information on the game of golf played on snooker tables.
What type of crazy rules do you play by and or have played by? Where do you or have you played. I like this crazy game and I am hoping to find places to play, and find out about what the rules are in your location, cause from what little I've heard they are different from location to ocation. I have only played in san diego and anchorage.
Draw pills for line up.all players have their own object ball and share the cue ball. When you are starting off object ball to the head spot shooting from the "D" with the cue ball. the corner pocket by your right hand is the "1" hole and then you play clockwise 2,3,4,5 and the 6 is the right hand side pocket. First person to make all six in order is the winner. Initially everybody starts out of the "D" with the cueball and their object ball on the spot, but after that they must shoot from wherever the cueball lays(except of course scratches, which the cueball is then placed in the "D").
Where I play...
1. If the object ball cannot be spotted on the head spot, it goes to the next open spot(7-ball spot, then 5-ball spot, then 4-ball spot.)
2. If you cannot legally hit both sides of your object ball(being on the rail with no other balls around does not count.), you are allowed to push out anywhere on the table, but your ball comes off the table and you aquire a foul.
3. If the player that is shooting before you is Legally hooked and then fouls by not hitting his ball, you will be allowed to lift out of the way any balls that are directly between the cue ball and your object ball, but you are not allowed to hit a rail prior to striking your object ball. to do so is a foul.
4. A legal shot is where you hit your ball either before or after you strike a rail or pocket it in your target pocket.
5. If your ball is frozen to the rail you, it is considered a legal shot to roll up and touch it, without driving either to another rail.
6. If you pocket somebody elses ball, it counts for them if that is their target pocket and your shot is counted as a foul.
7. If you strike somebody elses ball prior to hitting yours that is counted as a foul and you owe them the price of the game (each and everyone that you hit).
8. The person who sells out the game pays double.
9. Now and then somebody will want to play with an extra ball(or two) on the table that is considered a roaming hazard, chalk up a foul if you hit it plus xtra.
10. lately the person coming up on the spot for the six hole is spotted on the back spot(7-ball spot).
I'm sure that I have missed some of the rules or glazed over others
, so if there is something that you are not sure about please ask and I will do my best to answer. Thank you.
