here is my experience
the medium is more medium hard
the soft is alittle firmer than a g2 soft
initially the soft was incredible
very easy to draw and spin
very little mushrooming
held chalk well
i thought
this could be my new tip
But after 10-15 hours of play i am getting glazing and miscues requiring lots of looking at the tip to see if it needs scuffing
a miscue cost me a game the other day
i am switching back to g2
anyone else have a similar or not experince after some use with this tip??

After 6 weeks of playing with the Precision. Not one miscue or issue. I haven't done anything to it at all. Just play.

good to know michael
if yours is playing like mine did at first i would never consider another tip
maybe i should try another one and see what happens???

I ran a test for two weeks a month ago. If anyone didn't like the Precision I installed after one week of play. (20 tips). I would change it to any tip they wanted for free. Not one taker. That's the best I could offer. Test is over. I'm convinced.

maybe a "dud"

no worries,
they are HIGH QUALITY TIPS...
BUT,
you may have a bad one....
OR unknowingly something could have gotten on the tip

Could be human error as well... We've ALL had misscues that weren't the fault of the equiptment.

duane
you are right could have been a bad tip or something got on it
and based on the posts above i will probably install another one on one shaft and a g2 soft on another and try to equal out the use of the shafts and see how it goes
skins
of course i have miscued in the past when it was me
but i dont miscue often and all of a sudden it started to happen more frequently so i started paying more attention to the tip and noticed the glazing

How often do you chalk your tip?

i try before each shot but that doesnt happen all the time

After installing a new tip I "load" the tip more often until they're broken in. Maybe 10 hours of play then I chalk, at least, after every other shot. Every so often I use an abrasive media, mine is a Last Forever tip tool, and roll the tip. I, as well most others, haven't had any issues with my Precision tips.

glazing

My buddy had a glazing issue with his. He showed it to me - the tip just wouldn't hold chalk no matter what you did.

I have been using a Precision hard tip for 5 weeks and estimate 40-50 hours of use. My experience is limited to one tip. Each session starts by dressing the tip with a Morakami Gator Shaper and chalking before each shot. It’s a fine tip, no problems. I cannot say that it is particularly different at all from other hard tips that I have gotten to like over the past few years. I like it enough to have more of them installed in the future as needed.

Try a new Chalk like Toam or G2 Chalks

I've been using medium Precision Tips for awhile now with zero issues. Paul Drexler installed them and while shaping them commented they appeared to be quality tips.
