No problems here with the G2 mediums.

However, as a side note, whenever I find a tip I like I try and buy a bunch of them so they're from the same batch. As we all found out with the Mooris, manufacturing quality changes over time.

Yes! I have been having a problem with my g2 mediums. They play so damn good I'm playing a level above my normal speed!

You know, G2 tips loose its humidity quick. So, to me, I always wipe the tip with moist tissue after playing.

Larry,

The one I have on my back up shaft does seem to glaze a bit more than Kamuis but not bad. I just gently use a tip pic on it & it's fine for a session.

No problems for me with G2 hard. But like Lou, I buy several at a time and hard tips take a while to wear down. So I have not purchased tips in the past year or so.

I have a G2 medium on one of my 314-2 shafts. It plays great, no problems what so ever.

The only problem I've had lately is that I ran out of them(I also
run out with them...hehe). I need to order at least 10 instead of
5 the next time. I'd still have a few, but I've put them on several
shafts and let a friend or 2 try them out. I use the medium as well
and I'm going to order hards and mediums next time.

Back to the main point....no issues with performance whatsoever
with all the mediums I've used. As stated several times above....great tips!

I wonder if counterfeit G2's are being made? I won't say that I don't
miscue every so often(my fault more times than not), but I will say
that I've never noticed any glazing with them like Kamui is visually
known for. Makes me wonder if the company is going cheaper on
materials or if there may be counterfeits out there.

You most likely shouldn't even wonder... They counterfeit elk masters for goodness sake... and at least 3 factories are doing it overseas.....

If a good tip comes out and is making money there will be knockoffs of them faster than you can blink... Ok maybe not that fast... But fast....

Good info. I've bought mine through Rain Man or Marc and
they definitely have the real thing.

I wish frauds, scammers, and counterfeiters would end up in prison
more often, but you don't hear of it that much.
