Or may be because of the recent rarity of the gaboon ebony. jet black gaboon ebony is rare and not cheap atm .
I agree with our Ukainian friend : when it comes to stiffness , they are some very interesting wood species , other than ebony ...
i've posted pics of my cue because ebony can be pretty, and when the shafts are excellent, then it's a gem, a pretty & good cue to play.
Not a "big" or a "monster". for that, i usually look on the For Sale's area hihihi :wink:
