Anyone ever notice some players "nod" their head just before impact?

Scott Frost is probably the best player that does this. He'll nod down and to the right slightly/ I have seen some great players do it. I'm wondering if its intentional or a tic or something some people have.

Before impact with what? Cue to cueball, cueball to object ball?

It's not just moving the head up and down a bit while sighting between the cue ball and object ball during aiming?

A friend of mine that is a really great player was doing this a couple of months ago in a big nineball tournament. But he was doing it because he was hammered and/or very stoned. I've never seen him like that on a pool table, and I felt very sorry for him that day. I asked if there was something bothering him, and he said it wasn't worth talking about. It was weird, but on his final stroke he'd lower his head like he was nodding off, chin down and then a final head turn to the right. It's not a part of his game, and probably not what you are talking about because it sure wasn't doing him any good.

Right before impact of cue to cueball. Here is Frost doing it so you can see what I mean.

Yes I see it ... it's there, not sure what to make of it.

In the video you could see him doing this on every shot, it appears as part of his mechanics.

Who knows if this was a conscious, learned technique or simply a natural physical motion that has always been there by default.

Nice eye by you to notice it...

It almost looks as though he may look at the cue ball not the OB last. But it does seem like it happens in mid release?

I teach keeping still through impact and etc. but for some of my students, like some of the all-time greats, movement through the shot is okay - if it is down and through with the direction of the cue stick.
