Just curious if anyone has played with or owns one of Steve Kornele's cues? What is your opinion on the the craftsmanship and how do they play?

I'm sure I know which one this is in relation to. Its a decent buy man, just buy it! I would have jumped on it if the trim rings had ivory in them like my old WW did. IMO, they play well and Id like to have another, but that one don't look too striking to me to pull the trigger. They're nicely made cues for the buck! The ivory ferrules add a nice touch to em'...Just buy it!

I have one and use it often. I use it primarily on BB because I don't want to take my regular playing cue. Steve's cues play great and he is one of the best kept secrets in cuemakers, and he makes some great JP's to match. Lots of ivory and a solid, stiffer hit. The shaft wood he used on my cue was second to none. All the work was impeccable. And the price was a steal.... You will like the cue.

no, not the one on E-bay right now. He is finishing one for me right now . Paid him last night. Ebony sleeve, BEM forearm with 6 points. 3 short ebony and 3 high snakewood with double black veneer. ivory joint, ivory butt cap and ivory dashed rings at shaft collars, joint, above and below the wrap(black with brown speck) and between the cap and sleeve. Should be complete in 3 weeks he says, cant wait

nice!

It sounds like a nice cue, I'm sure you'll like the heck out of it! Be sure to post pics of this "bad boy" after getting it! I wanna see this! Thanks, Jeff

I have bought and sold several Kornele and WW Cues (when he was partnered with Willingham) and each one has been of the highest quality in Materials and Workmanship ... He apprenticed under the late, great Verl Horn and his cues reflect that same style of cue-building ...

I do remember reading somewhere that he apprenticed under Verl Horn and that is why I ordered one from him without ever having shot with one or seen his work in person. It seems to me that all I have ever heard about himself and his work has been positive. Why is he not more popular as a cue maker? One of his cues with the same materials as some of the other "household" name cue makers can be bought at a fraction of the price...Do you think he has the potential to achieve the status as some of the greats today?

I think Steve makes great cues. I own two and he is building one for me now. Excellent craftmanship and a wonderful hit. Good guy to work with too.

I have never played with his cues, but have a few joint protectors made by him--they were all very beautiful!

nice cues

I owned one, sold it recently to another AZer.

The workmanship is excellent, and it plays quite well. I think Steve's cues are an excellent value.

I'm sure you'll like yours, too.

Jim
